Unity Is Strength
No matter how strong you are, If you decided to work alone, then you will be defeated...
Samson was the strongest man in Isreal, but he was defeated by the tame of a lady all because he didn't follow the instructions of his parents, because he decided to stand alone, he doesn't want to walk in one Accord with his parents....
The scripture said we should never forsake the gathering of the brethren, because The tools Satan use nowadays is disunity, misunderstanding, but If you stand still in one Accord he can never has a way to disunite you...
Psalms 133:1
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
This was a statement made by David when he was on a mission to find out an habitation for God, they found it in the wood at Ephratah, and God promised them that If they would continue to obey his commandments and keep his covenant he will make the children of Isreal sit upon the throne for ever... If it were to be that David go in search of the place alone, he might have not been succeeded to find it... That's the importance of working together in unity, because unity is strength.
A divided nation can easily be trampled upon by the enemies, but the one in unity can never be divided,
The Israelites do conquer their enemies whenever they are in one Accord with God, but as soon as they divert, they will be conquered by their enemies.
A tree can never make a forest, if you want to go far go together, but if you want to go fast go alone... Have you ever noticed that if you are in group you will be more comfortable than been alone? The fact is, it is best for you to work in unity doing so will make you achieve your aim quickly than to be a one man mopo.
That reminds me of the story of an old farmer who lived in a village. He had four sons, o were lazy and idle. They often quarreled among themselves. The old man was very much annoyed with it.So he called his four sons and told them that since his end was near, he wanted to teach them a lesson. So he told them that since his end was near, he wanted to give them a useful piece of advice. He sent for a bundle of sticks, it was brought. He asked all his sons turn by turn to break the bundle of the sticks. All tried hard, but none of them was able to break the bundle. Then he asked one of them to untie the-bundle. This was also done immediately. Then he asked each of them to break the sticks individually. Now each one succeeded in doing so.
The old farmer then said to them, "If you live together in peace, none can harm you. But if you are divided, you will lose."
Moral:
United we stand, divided we fall.
The power of unity
Acts 2:1-3
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
